Vlka Fenryka - The Sixth Legion at six models

Put this on:

VLKA FENRYKA composed by Martin Boris, aka Dreambient

Then look at the pictures.

5th and 6th model 99% finished. I am still working on the gun nozzles and testing a metallic knot work pattern for the gun casings.

I eventually owe you more pictures, there are lot of tasty details to discover, like bionic, wolf claw leg , or the banner poles detail.

This time I started painting these listening to the "soundscape" from Dreambient that had been inspired by models. It in turn really established the mood for the faces in particular. Which also deserve more pictures sooner than later.

Right now the priority is to keep pushing the project along. With the holiday shutdown ahead of me, I should have one of the most productive weeks in the hobby calendar ahead of me.

  4. Absolutely amazing. Love how you're giving them a feel of Norse among the stars instead of rabid werewolves in space. The last two converting from the Gal Vorbak are incredible, how did you do those heads if I may ask?

    1. Thank you sir! The heads are from the thunder wolf kit, with just minor GS hairstyling.

  6. I like to listen to music while I paint, namely Ambient/Dark Ambient. It can have a major impact in to end result, I think. The combination of beautifully composed ambient music, the kind that vibrates exactly the right feeling, along-side with your amazing models with such a character in them generates a sensational atmosphere par excellence. Well done!

  7. Migs, the subdued saturation with subtle spot colors are sublime - a wonderful rendition of the Fenryka, really love the conversion work you're putting these FW models through.
Looking forward to seeing the Curze conversion.
